Für eine Weiterbildung haben wir ein paar Tage im City Stay in einer Zweizimmerwohnung genächtigt. Die Wohung ist wunderbar ruhig im Seefeld gelegen, in Gehdistanz zum Zentrum mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und ÖV in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sie ist geräumig (60m2) und hat eine separate Küche und einen recht grosszügigen Eingangbereich, einen grossen Esstisch, einen komfortablen Wohnbereich sowie einen Balkon. Im Schlafzimmer befindet sich zudem ein Bürotisch. Der Einrichtungsstil ist etwas nüchtern, aber geschmackvoll. Für mich aber auf jeden Fall eine valable Alternative zu den überteuerten Hotel in Zürich.

Top Lage! Saubere und moderne Zimmer. Daumen hoch.

Firstly, the pluses: concierge ladies were super helpful, giving us extra dishwasher tablets and some change for the (atrocious) washing machine.|Very clean apartment, spotless. ||Cons: No aircon - it was nearly 30° C inside our flat on arrival. One fan. Had to ask for a second but we had 3 very hot nights. Couldn’t leave windows open due to being at street level. Quiet -ish neighbourhood, but too noisy with cars passing and roadworks going on outside.||There’s what appears, at first glance, to be a great laundry room in the basement, but there were issues here too: 2 CHF for an average heat wash (40°) and not overfilling the machine (we didn’t - we had maybe half a load’s worth). |We finally managed to pop coins in (given by kind concierge, as no way to pay by card and we had no Swiss francs on us) and selected the 2 CHF program. |But when I tried to open the door and remove our laundry, it was locked.|I rang the reception phone (this hotel is unmanned - if you have a problem, you have to ring through to a central office). The person who answered was borderline rude (told me I hadn’t put enough coins in/had probably overfilled machine/done too hot a wash) and I needed to add more coins.|I told her I had none and that it was unacceptable to have machines that started and finished a wash as normal, but then locked your clothes in!).|She finally contacted the concierge, who very kindly have us another coin, restarted the machine for us (the only way it would unlock).|She mentioned that these machines were often unreliable and apologised profusely (not her fault at all).||Worst part overall: the smoke alarms in the communal areas went off regularly every evening. Us and several guests had to take it in turns running down to the control panel by the entrance, to turn them off. |You couldn’t sleep with that noise otherwise.|We had to go through this charade several times every evening.|We even rang the main phone to leave messages for ‘reception’ about the issue, but no one ever got back to us or other guests that tried the same.||It is a shame that what could have been a great hotel experience was ruined by these various issues.||It is simply not good enough to say “we’re in a conservation area and can’t have aircon, here’s a useless fan, good luck”.|These are new builds. This is Switzerland, not short of money! Could they not have build them as Passivhaus, which keeps buildings cool without aircon?|Even mobile aircon units with a hose hanging out of a bathroom window (no unit outside which isn’t permitted).||Built entirely to wow and then line their pockets. No care for guests and no interest in improving massive flaws.||The only helpful and lovely people were the concierge ladies.

Amazing Apartment with everything! Super clean and easy to check in and out! Recommend

I am not sure why the previous reviews and other sites have rated these apartments poorly. I completely disagree. We had a wonderful stay at City Stay Furnished Apartments and without a doubt one of the best ones anywhere in Europe. The apartments are about 3/4 of a mile from the city center but it's easily accessible through tram number 10 and number 2 which stop approximately 100 feet from the entrance to the apartment on the right. In that intersection you will find two grocery stores, and three restaurants all of which service decent food. One supermarket has wine and beer on the RT corner named COOP. Keep in mind that you need to buy trash bags at the supermarket since they have a special tax to collect them ("Zuri Sacke"), 10 francs for 10 17 Liter bags, and that is the only way you can dispose of the trash in the large bins outside of the building to the left. Toto, Sushi and V-Vino restaurants on the corner, however, prices are relatively high and this is consistent with pricing in the city of Zürich. You can walk to the east bank of Lake Zürich when you turn to the left about 2 to 3 blocks, there you will find multiple restaurants on the shore that offer different menus and opportunities to eat alfresco. Walking to the downtown area is approximately 10 minutes by foot. The apartments are moderate in size, and we stayed at a one bedroom apartment that was fairly ample with nice furnishings, comfortable beds, and a huge balcony. The restroom was large all covered in a marble like tile. The kitchen was very complete and has everything you possibly could need to cook a meal, which in fact we did. We loved the location, easy access, and their new apartment which was renovated less than a year ago. Without a doubt in our next visit to Zürich we will definitely be staying here.|||

This is a well situated apartment hotel near bus/tram lines, the lake, and close to all things Zurich. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and it had space and everything our family needed. It was clean and efficient. The room we stayed in appeared to have be recently renovated as things looked new. The cellar has laundry facilities as well. Good place to stay to explore Zurich.
