Frequent travellers of Europe, Korea and Hokkaido in the winter should adapt to the weather easily. It is just that one has to be a fit walker and must have a pair of yard tracks or snow shoes. Falls and climbs no matter how short can be fatal. One gets to enjoy sledging if one enjoyed skiing and snowboarding in Korea and China, riding snow mobiles in Hokkaido and Finland. If you have the Swiss pass, you get to visit Mount Rigi for free. It’s a gorgeous place and if in summer..Absolutely do the amazing 2-6km hike through the mountains. There’s also a cute little cafe up top that serves Lindt hot chocolate! Will do it again..nope but must do at least once! Can easily make a day trip enjoying the lovely Swiss alps!

Took a ferry from Lucerne pier to Vitznau. Followed by the cogwheel Rigibahn to Rigi kulm which was the destination. Great view. Did the Rigi panorama trail (about 8km) to Rigi Schiegg. The trail was fairly easy and had great panoramic view. Took a cable car down to Krabel, followed by a cogwheel down to Arth Goldau station and a train from Arth-Goldau back to Lucern station. This trip was totally free for Swiss pass holders. Worth a visit if you got the time to spare!

Visited Mt Rigi on the first day of my visit to Switzerland via cruise on Lucerne and the experience was amazing. A beautiful lake overlooking the settlements dropped us to the bottom of Rigi from where we took a wagon train to climb up and cable car to come down .Sharing some of these pictures and videos from the trip.

Mount Rigi has breathtaking views. In any season. Mountains, lakes, trains, all very eye-catching. Especially for us tropical nationals who are meeting snow for the first time. Switzerland is a very beautiful places to come!
